Saigel's Third Birthday

I can't believe our baby is three!! She had her birthday party today with a few of her friends. It was supposed to be an outdoor party so the kids could all play on her new swing set, but we woke up this morning to unexpected rain. (Don't bring this up to Doug unless you want to hear his speech on the uselessness of all weather people especially one particular weather man who, by the way, got an ugly email from him this morning.)

We switched to indoor activities and playing on the back porch and all the kids were wonderful!! They were all so sweet and didn't even tear the house to shreds. Now that's a successful party!!

Thanks to Paige Brumley for making this awesome cake!! Saigel loved it!

Here is the group shot of all the kids in their monkey hats. Anna, where did your face go?

Dalton enjoyed "helping" Saigel with her presents! That kid is so cute!

Saigel's Swing Set

Saigel got a swing set as an early birthday present this year. Much thanks to her PawPe and MeMaw (my mom and dad) who drove to IL at a moment's notice (even missing a church event I might add) to take this totally apart in the freezing cold. Then they drove it all the way to AR for us and helped us set it up a few weekends ago. Doug has spent every dry moment since then making it look brand new and I think he has done an awesome job!! He is such a handy guy to have around!!
This was really the first day that Saigel has gotten to play on it for any length of time and she had a ball. The first time down the slide was a little traumatic as the thing is super fast (I think she may have gone airborne!!). She cried when she landed on her butt at the bottom of the slide, but I went in and got a pillow to put at the bottom for the next trip down and she has loved it since then!
We had a great time this evening in our own personal backyard "park"!! Doug and I even went down the slide but Lord willing none of you will ever see those pics :)
