For the last two weeks we've been at church camp. First in Texas and then in Missouri. While we were in Texas, Saigel went to spend some time in MO with our families. I think she had a good time, but we missed her like crazy!! She came back with 6 new outfits and a new toy (I have no idea how she's gotten so spoiled-- do you??).
Since she wasn't around in Texas, I didn't get any pictures there, but we had a great time with Todd and Paige. It kind of brought back the "old days" when we used to travel with them before any of us had kids. I forgot how easy it was back then!! We all love the new life we have with kids, but it is nice to have those weeks when you can remember when...
The second week of church camp was in MO with John & Alisha Herring and their son Dalton. Dalton & Saigel are best friends and they had a great week together. In fact, any time they were separated that week, they would start asking for the other one. It was soooo cute. This is the first time we've traveled with just John & Alisha & Dalton, and it was a blast!! These people are great fun. If any of you know John, please ask him to tell you about the cat that nearly scared his pants off!! Or ask me, and I'll tell you. Typing it just wouldn't do it justice.
Below are a few of the pics from our time in Missouri.
John, Dalton, & Alisha walking to the playground at Camp Garwood
Alisha & I skipped one of the morning sessions to take the kids swimming in the river behind our motel. Saigel and Dalton were enjoying blowing bubbles in the crystal clear water.
They did a lot of rock and seashell collecting (and throwing for that matter)!
Almost every night after the service we went to the "Jolly Cone" to get something to eat. It's a place that you just order at the window and eat outside. The kids had a ball running around the patio and sitting at the edge to watch the cars drive by. They also got to ride the carousel as you can see below.
We wanted to go down and see the local attraction of the "Big Spring", but both Dalton & Saigel fell asleep on the 4 mile ride down the road. I showed her this picture of the Big Spring afterward, and she just laughed.
