Christmas Day 2009

Christmas morning was very exciting. Saigel must have been a really good girl this year! Santa left a small gift under her special purple & pink tree. It was a snow globe with Santa inside. She was very excited! She then went into the living room where the big tree was, and found the Zhu Zhu pet that she had asked Santa for. Santa also filled her stocking with some neat stuff, and of course her mommy and daddy contributed to the large pile of gifts as well.

"Look, Santa ate the cookies & drank the milk! And the reindeer ate the carrot! Later in the day we exchanged gifts with the rest of our family. Pawpe read the Christmas story, and we had lots of fun.

Christmas Eve 2009

Christmas Eve is always a special time. We spent some time at Saigel's Mimi & Paw Paw's house. Saigel sat next to Paw Paw as he read the Christmas story. Then she proceeded to really sing out "Go Tell It On The Mountain" as you can see in the picture below.

Mimi made Maddison & Saigel some new play clothes for Christmas. Below are pictures of Cinderella's rag dress, & then the dress she wore to the ball. Saigel was very excited.

Later in the evening we arrived at Memaw & Pawpe's house to spend the night. Saigel helped put out the milk, & cookies for Santa....and a carrot for the reindeer. She was so excited that we didn't think she would ever go to sleep.

Christmas Decorations

Just shortly before Thanksgiving we decorated for Christmas. The picture below is Saigel placing the angel on top of the tree. Saigel really enjoyed hanging the ornaments this year.

Mommy helps Saigle set out the nativity scene. She tells Saigel the story as each piece comes out.

City Fest

In October Luis Palau brought City Fest to North Little Rock. This was a huge event, and our church had an active role in several aspects of it. Thousands packed the North Little Rock River Front, and hundreds where saved! Saigel really enjoyed City Fest, especially when she got to meet Bob & Larry. What an awesome event that we where able to be a part of!

I'm the Big Sister

Today is catch up day on the blog, so we will be spanning several months in an attempt to get everything up to date. This is a picture of how we announced to the church that we are expecting a new addition to our family. Saigel is very excited about being a big sister, and can't wait to find out if she's going to have a brother or sister. A couple of weeks ago I had to remind Saigel that we didn't know if we where going to have a boy or a girl.....Saigle chimes in and says, "or a dog". So apparently she is hoping for a baby brother, or a new puppy. I'm a little afraid to find out which one she wants more :)

Rainy Days

These pics were from this summer, but I thought they would be appropriate to post now anyway, after all the rain we've experienced the last few weeks.

Pumpkin Patch

Hey everybody!! Sorry once again its been forever since I've posted anything on the blog. We've been up to lots of fun stuff over this summer, but I thought I better just post the most recent events right now. Doug's parents came down for a visit this weekend and we took Saigel to the Pumpkin Patch. We've gone to this pumpkin patch for the last few years, but this year was by far the most fun because of Saigel's age. She loved everything, but her favorite was crawling through a tunnel they had made out of straw. The last picture here is her coming out of the tunnel. She had to really build up her nerve to go through it the first time (even with daddy right behind), and we were so proud that she finally gave it a try.
